What is a boundary?  Something that indicates a border of limit:

What about being alone with your girlfriend/boyfriend at his/her house? teenagers need boundaries there

Discuss the garbage in / garbage out concept.   what you subject your mind to effects your everyday decisions

Who are people in your life that help you stay in your boundaries? parents, pastors, friends

How does the media portray sex outside of marriage?  go on and do it, it's ok, no one will get hurt

Give examples of rules or boundaries in your life   Curfew , Drinking, Movies/ video

This New Life Lesson 1

1.  How does one become "born again"?   Romans 10:8-10

"confess with your mouth and believe in your heart that Jesus was raised from the dead"

2.  How are you saved?   Ephesians 2 :8-9  "for by grace you have been saved through faith"

3.  What does salvation give me?   II Corinthians 5:17

"if anyone is in Christ they are a new creation, old is passed away, all have become new"

4.  What does the law of the Spirit of live in Christ Jesus mean to me? Romans 8:2

it "has made me free from the law of sin and death".  The law includes love, joy peace, happiness, prosperity, abundance, health, contentment, and blessings.

5.  Do I have to be water baptized?   Acts 2:38   it's important to the believer and an outward demonstration of salvation and new life in Christ.

6.  What is this word Righteousness?   Romans 5:17   simply defined is right standing with God.  You receive righteousness by faith at salvation time. Romans 10:10

This New Life Lesson 2

11.  Who can have Faith? Romans 12:3  "God had dealt to each one a measure of faith"

12. Is Faith a feeling?  No.  Faith is knowing.  Your faith must be controlled by God's Word, not by what you feel, not by what circumstances look like, and not by what others tell you.  II Corinthians 5:7 "For we walk by faith, and not by sight"

13.  Is healing a benefit of salvation?   Yes. Psalm 103:2-3 "who forgives all are sins and heals all our diseases".

16.  Where does sickness come from?  After Adam's disobedience, sin and death with all of their evil companions (hatred, bitterness, jealousy, sickness, disease, torment) entered into the world ( Romans 5:12)  Natural sickness because of the curse on the earth, and the devil oppresses people with sickness. 

18.  Can I do with my body what I want?   Not only are you to live a holy and pure life in you body, (meaning abstain from self-sex, and partner-sex) but we can live in health.  " For you were bought at a price; therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God's" I Cor 6:20  For more scriptures about sex see Proverbs 5: 15-20

19.  Is Jesus still the same today?  Hebrews 13:8  "Jesus Christ is  the same yesterday, today, and forever" 

This New Life Lesson 3  Baptism of the Holy Spirit

2.  What does the Holy Spirit do for us at salvation? I Cor 12:3 The Holy Spirit imparts a new life to a person thus making them a child of God.  " No one can say that Jesus is Lord except by the Holy Spirit"

The prophet Joel spoke of a time when God's Spirit would be poured out upon all flesh.

3.  What about this upper room experience?   Luke 24:49  Jesus said a promise from the Father would come. 

Read   Acts 2:1-4 The day of Pentecost"and they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance."

4.  Why do we need the Holy Spirit?   Acts 1:8  Power for witnessing of the living Christ.   That day, the upper room 120 went out on the streets and witnessed 3000 souls were added that day.  Read Acts 4:4  5000 more.

7.  How do I know that when I pray, God hears me?    I John 5:14-15 "We have confidence, in Him, that if we ask anything according to His will, He hears us." 

9.  Where does the Old Testament talk about tongues? Isaiah 28:11-12  "With stammering lips and another tongue He will speak to this people."

This New Life Lesson 4  The Gifts of the Spirit

Where in the Bible do I find the Gifts of the Spirit? I Cor 12:7-11

4.  What is the Gift of Faith? Function on the behalf of the believer to perform something impossible by ordinary human efforts. God intervenes with His sovereignity and glory to work this miracle for us.

5.  What is the Gifts of Healing? Removing diseases from the spirit, soul, and body.

6. What is the Working of Miracles?  God moves to heal or do something miraculous.

7.  What is the Gift of Prophecy? Bringing to light secret motives of the heart.

8.  What is the Descernment of Spirits? Recognizing what is of God verses the world, the flesh, and the devil.

Creation Lesson 1     Is There Really a God?

Genesis 1:1   "In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth."     God was in existence even before the beginning

God is outside time. He is eternal, with no beginning or end. (Psalm 90:2)

How Do We Recognize the Evidence of Intelligence? One would never look at the Great Wall of China, the US Capital building, or the Sydney Opera House and conclude that such structures were formed after a spontaneous explosion.

Life is built on DNA.

Colossians 1:16   For by Him all things were created that are in heaven and that are on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or principalities or powers. All things were created through Him and for Him

Creation Lesson 2 & 3

In order for cell responses, there must be numerous compounds in the right place, at the right time, in the right concentration. Therefore evolution from chemicals to a living system is impossible.

Why is it that when we squish a mosquito it doesn’t come back to life?You have disorganized it.  Once the “machinery” was destroyed, the organism could no longer exist.

Life is built upon information.

The almost universal belief of Christians was that God created the world in six literal days roughly 4,000 years before Christ and destroyed the world with a global Flood at the time of Noah.

What are the three threories regarding earth-age? 1. gap theory, 2. day-age view, 3. theistic evolution

6.  Adam and Eve sinned, resulting in the judgment of God on the whole creation. Instantly Adam and Eve died spiritually, and after God’s curse they began to die physically.

Creation Lesson 4 & 5

What was the name of the famous Monkey Trial in 1925?  the Scopes Trial in 1925

What does the book of Genesis teach us about death? The book of Genesis teaches that death is the result of Adam’s sin

What should Christians remember about Creation?  People must remember that God created a perfect world;

What's the real battle?  The battle is not one of young earth vs. old earth, or billions of years vs. six days, or creation vs. evolution—the real battle is the authority of the Word of God vs. man’s fallible opinions.

What are the "Laws of Nature"?    2. Laws of life, chemistry, planetary motion, physics, universal constants, Anthropic Principle, Mathematics, Logic, Uniformity of Nature

How does the Law of Life work?    There is one well-known law of life: the law of biogenesis. This law states simply that life always comes from life.

Creation Lesson 6 & 7

What is the Gap theory? The gap of time between the first two verses of Genesis 1

How does the Gap Theory stay alive today?   Bible study aids such as the Scofield Reference Bible, Dake’s Annotated Reference Bible, and The Newberry Reference Bible are popular

Where is Satan in the Gap Theory?    There are many variations of the gap theory. According to the author Weston Fields, the theory can be summarized as follows, “In the far distant dateless past, God created a perfect heaven and perfect earth. Satan was ruler of the earth which was peopled by a race of ‘men’ without any souls.

What's the big problems with the Gap Theory?  It is inconsistent with God creating everything in six days,

there could not have been a race of men before Adam that died in Lucifer’s flood because 1 Corinthians 15:45 tells us that Adam was the first man.

Who Was Cain?   Cain was the first child of Adam and Eve

Creation Lesson 8 & 9

Scientists use a technique called radiometric dating to estimate the ages of rocks, fossils, and the earth.

What are the 4 ways God Communicates to Us?   Number one way: God communicates through the written Word and uses language.

The Inward Witness — like go ahead feeling in your spirit, or a check in your spirit that stops you.

the Voice of the Holy Spirit — When the Holy Spirit speaks, it is more authoritative. It may almost sound audible, but it comes from within us.

Hebrew word "yom" = 24 hr day
