Socialism and Darwinism found widespread interest in society.

Fascism, Nazism, and Communism are  all forms of socialism or totalitarian dictatorships.

Most of these 1920s philosophies denied or minimized the existence of God, deity of Christ, virgin birth, blood atonement for sin, His bodily resurrection, and His personal return.  Christianity does respond with fundamentalism.  

Theory of Relativity:

Sigmund Freud:  formulated psychoanalysis

Sex drive explains a person's actions.  "One has to get rid of inhibitions to have a healthy emotional life"

Christianity in the 1920's
        "the social gospel" the church's mission is identified with the Progressive movement.
    1.  social gospel rejects or minimizes the
                    gospel of individual salvation.
    2.  man lost his confidence in the existence
                       of a personal God.
    3.  Sigmund Freud formulated psychoanalysis
